Mercy Heroes 2023 – Join Us in Making a Difference
Welcome to Mercy Heroes 2023, an inspiring initiative that brings communities together to support Mercy University Hospital Foundation. Our mission is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. Funds raised will go to our Teens & Young Adult Appeal to support young patients through the challenges that serious illness brings. Teens & Young Adults require additional services and supports to help them during their treatment. We want our teenagers and young adults to get back to enjoying their lives and fulfilling their hopes and dreams like every young person deserves.
As Professor Derek Power puts it;
The work I do is only half of it. Having the right facilities, access to research, being supported by complimentary services all play a part in our patient care. It’s a team effort, and I [would] really appreciate you being part of that team.
This year, we have two main days to mark on your calendar: County Day on October 13th and City Day on October 20th. However, you can participate whenever suits you throughout the entire month of October.
How Can You Get Involved?
Coffee Mornings:
One delightful way to participate is by hosting a Coffee Morning. Gather your friends, family, and colleagues for a cup of coffee, a slice of cake, and meaningful conversations. It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise funds while enjoying the company of those around you.
Dress Up Days:
Another fun way to contribute is by organising a Dress Up Day at your Workplace, School, or within your Community. Let your creativity shine and have a blast while supporting our Teens & Young Adult Appeal. Remember, every small effort counts!
By having a Dress Up/Dress Down Day or a Coffee Morning and making a donation of €2 per student your school will help with the future of cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
