The Cork’s 96fm Giving for Living Radiothon was held recently and was a huge success. Throughout the three days of Radiothon, people opened their hearts to Cork and told stories of their cancer journey. Across the city and county, hundreds of people held Coffee Breaks in their homes, offices, schools, creches and clubs to raise funds for Radtiohon. The people of Cork got behind the movement and a whopping ?377,657 was raised.
The Mercy held a bumper coffee break at the hospital on the Friday of Radiothon. Staff, patients, visitors to the hospital and members of the public joined us for a cuppa and something nice in aid of Radiothon. A big heartfelt thank you to all those who volunteered on the day and donated produce; EMC, Currans Restaurant, A Touch of Magic, Ryan’s SuperValu, Herlihy’s Centra, Cafe Depeche, Cupcakes by Katie, and Sharon Manning of the Joan Denise Moriarty School of Dance. Thank you to the wonderful Hospital staff for supporting the Coffee Break.
